## **Liquid Lending Explained** 
With JPG lending, you can make multiple offers from multiple collections utilizing the same offer pool! To see more on offer pools, click here.

Say you have 1400 ADA in my lending pool. With the same 1400 ADA, you can make three 500 ADA offers for Omen, two 700 ADA offers for Spacebudz, and three 650 ADA offers for Clay Nation! The first offer accepted will be taken from your lending pool until you don't have enough ADA to lend.

This means that once one of the 1300 ADA offers is accepted, no other offers can be accepted until you add more ADA to your offer pool.

## **Lending Fee Structure on Jpg.Store**
Below is a breakdown of the fees depending on if you are the lender or a borrower. 

**JPG Lending fees**
The main fees for lending are 1% to the lender and 1% to the borrower.

**Cardano TX fees**
Outside of this are the standard Cardano TX fees, which usually run around 0.3 - 0.4 ada per Transaction.

**minUTXO fees**
There are some minUTXO fees charged depending on if you are lending or borrowing, these are either ~1.8 ADA or ~3.5 ADA and are labelled in the breakdown when building a transaction. This ADA will be refunded upon loan repayment, default, or cancellation (minus JPG lending fees).

## **Why do we need to make a deposit on these requests?**
The refundable deposit is required by the lending protocol to function. It covers the minimum UTxO requirements needed by the Cardano network for the contract to be able to hold all the necessary assets and data.

## **What happens when a loan is paid back?**
When a loan is paid back, as the lender, you don't need to do anything. The ADA will show back up in your offer pool with interest from the loan. You can then make new loan offers with the ADA in your offer pool or you can withdraw the ADA from your pool if you like.

## **What are the consequences of defaulting on a loan?**
When you default on a loan, the NFT you used as collateral is sent to the lender.

## **Managing your Offer Pool on Jpg.Store**

**Adding ADA to your offer pool**
Before you can "Lend ADA" you must deposit funds from your wallet into your offer pool. Hover over your wallet balance and click on "Manage offer pool."

Next, determine how much ADA you want to provide for your offer pool. Here, we are adding 20 ADA to the pool (**currently, this is the minimum you can add to an offer pool**). The transaction will take ~1 minute to confirm on the chain.

Once confirmed, you will see the 20 ADA at the top of your page. At this point, you can start creating loan offers.

**Create loan offers**
You can use your offer pool funds to make multiple loan offers without locking up any ADA.

To make loan offers, go to the collection page where you wish to make a loan and click on "Lend ADA".

In our example, we have 123 ADA available for lending. You can now make Lending offers for multiple collections of up to 120 ADA. In the instance below, you have made two lending offers for 50 ADA each for Snekkies. You could then go to another collection and also make offers. The first people to accept the loans will receive the ADA until your lending pool is exhausted or you don't have enough ADA left in the pool to accept any more.

You have now made loan offers for two different collections. You can see this on your profile page.

**Fund loans**
Once someone accepts one of your loan offers, ADA will be withdrawn from your offer pool to fund the loan. Any remaining loan offers larger than your pool balance will be placed on hold until your offer pool is replenished.

**Remove ADA from your offer pool**
You can remove the ADA in your offer pool at any point. To do this, click on your offer pool, select "Withdraw from offer pool" and select the amount you want to remove.

The transaction may take a few minutes to be confirmed on the chain. Once it does, you should see the indicator at the top of the page showing your new pool balance.

## **Borrowing on Jpg.Store**
Borrow ADA allows you to use your NFT's as collateral for loans. Set your desired borrow amount, terms and collateral. A lender can then choose to accept your borrow request.

1 . To create a request to borrow ADA, go to the collection page of the asset > Loans > Borrow ADA

2 . From the Request to Borrow Tab, you can set the amount you would like to receive, interest willing to pay, duration of the loan and the NFT you would like to use as collateral for the Borrow.

## **Creating a Loan on Jpg.Store**
To create a loan offer, you must first create an offer pool. To learn more about this, check out our article on [Managing your offer pool](https://help.jpg.store/managing-your-offer-pool/).

Once you've added ADA to your pool, you can create loans! 

1 . Click on the button at the bottom of the Collection page > Loans > Lend ADA

***NOTE: You can make loan offers on multiple collections from your offer pool. They will then be fulfilled until your offer pool is exhausted. For example, if you have 2000 ADA in your offer pool, you can make two 1000 ADA loan offers on three different collections simultaneously, but only two of them will be accepted by borrowers.***

## **Accepting a Loan Request on Jpg.Store**
Users can offer to lend their assets as collateral for ADA.

1 . Go to the collection page > Loans > Lend you will see any Loans available currently.

2 . Select the loan that makes the most sense for you. Amount requested, interest rate and duration are all visible on this page to make the decision easier!

**NOTE: Each loan is for a particular asset, so it's a good idea to research the asset you will be receiving as it may make more sense to go for a different asset that is more rare or has a trait you're interested in, just in case the user defaults (you receive the asset). We have made this easier by adding the hover over feature. If you hover over the image of the asset, it will enlarge it as well as top traits and floor price for each trait.**

3 . When you click on "Lend 100 ADA", you get a tab that opens that goes over the loan details. **Make sure to read over them carefully before signing.**

## **Is it possible to extend or refinance a loan?**
Unfortunately, this is not possible. The terms (amount, rate, time) are built into the smart contract at the time of signing, and there's no way to adjust them during the loan's term.

## **Claiming NFT Collateral on Defaulted Loans**
When a lender defaults on their loan, you receive their NFT in return. When this occurs, you will receive a notification on your profile > loans page stating you can "claim" your NFT

In order to claim your NFT, follow these steps:

1 . Go to your profile page > Loans > Lending tab

## **Can my NFT receive airdrops during the loan duration?**
Unfortunately, you cannot receive airdrops while your asset is on loan. Lent assets sit in a JPG smart contract until the loan is paid back or the lender claims the NFT after default.

## **Do I earn XP when lending?**
For every accepted loan offer, you get 1 XP per ADA of the Loan, You can see this breakdown when you click on "Lend ADA".

## **Is ADA in my offer pool still staked?**
Any ADA in your offer pool (currently not having any loans accepted for it) is still sitting in your wallet, and thus, you are receiving your staking rewards. As soon as the loans are accepted, the ADA leaves your wallet, though, as it's now part of the smart contract transaction until the loan is either repaid or defaulted. 

Repaid ADA is put back into your offer pool, meaning it's again staked!

In the example below, we have 48 ADA in our wallet and 131.36 ADA in our offer pool.

If I look up my own wallet address in [Cardanoscan](https://cardanoscan.io/), we will see that there are 179 total staked ADA.
